1. multidec®-CUT, evoCOOL tool-holder
Boost your productivity in grooving and longitudinal turning on long-turn automatic lathes: The new multidec® tool-holder with an innovative cooling module delivers up to twice the tool life and significantly higher cutting rates with less wear. The intelligent cooling concept ensures targeted and efficient cooling exactly where it’s needed. This allows you to benefit from longer tool life, higher machining speeds, and fewer tool changes resulting in greater productivity and lower costs per workpiece. At the same time, the system offers impressive flexibility: Damaged cooling modules can be replaced quickly and easily. If cooling of the clearance face is not required, a blind module can be used instead.
2. multidec® CUT 5000, Cut-off diameter until 65 mm
The proven multidec®-5000 system has been expanded to accommodate parting-off diameters up to 65 mm, significantly broadening its range of applications. The single-edged indexable inserts are available in cutting widths of 2.0 and 3.0 mm and offer a reliable solution for demanding parting-off applications.
The robust design of the holders ensures high stability and precise, low-vibration machining. This enables high-performance and safe machining processes even with larger parting-off diameters. The combination of a proven system, a stable tool design, and precise cutting geometry ensures long-lasting performance and high process reliability.
3. multidec® Module
Greater productivity, less downtime, and maximum flexibility: The new multidec®-5000 modules expand existing toolholder systems for multi-spindle automatic lathes and are compatible with various standard toolholder systems, such as Göltenbodt systems. The modules enable efficient internal cooling directly at the cutting edge, with the coolant flowing through the base holder and the module without the need for additional hoses.
Three different module types are available for various standard toolholder systems. Modules with multidec®-5000 cutting edges for parting-off diameters up to 40 mm are available as standard. Clamping is achieved via a screw using a proven design. The modules can be changed quickly and easily, and existing machine connections as well as intermediate holders with integrated internal cooling can continue to be used. During grooving and parting-off, the targeted coolant supply ensures reliable heat dissipation and supports stable machining processes.
4. multidec®-5000, blade inserts
With the new multidec®-5000 cutting blades, the holder portfolio is expanded to include another interface that is already established on certain machines. This means that proven multidec®-5000 cutting edges can now also be used on machines that require this specific interface - such as Index and Traub machines.
The cutting blades are available in both standard and overhead versions and allow for the use of the proven multidec®-5000 cutting edges in widths of 1.5 and 2.0 mm. Thus, the new design combines the existing machine interface with the proven multidec®-5000 insert seat, thereby expanding the system’s range of applications.
